Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee people management, leadership, development, engagement, and wellbeing of a team of Account Managers and their support staff.
  • Act as a representative of the Bank, identifying and engaging potential new clients and presenting our services and offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to manage branch operations, including business planning, development, risk management, compliance, and financial oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to the Bank's credit policies, ensuring fair treatment of all customers.
  • Drive profitability within the local market through effective business leadership.
  • Implement the Handelsbanken business model and ensure effective use of products and systems.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the local market and build relationships with professional firms and introducers.
  • Innovate and support the introduction of improved processes, products, and technologies to enhance efficiency and risk management.
  • Lead the branch team alongside the Branch Manager to maintain high levels of customer service and operational order while striving to meet business goals.
  • Conduct necessary reviews, assessments, and control checks to maintain compliance and operational integrity.

The successful candidate will be a proven leader with experience in team management or demonstrate exceptional leadership potential. You will possess a solid understanding of core people management skills and the ability to coach and develop team members effectively.

Demonstrating an innovative mindset, you will be focused on building a successful future for the branch while leading your team to achieve ongoing success. A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders will be essential in driving team performance.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are crucial, along with the capacity to work independently when required. A comprehensive understanding of the Bank's business model, products, and credit policies is necessary, as well as the ability to manage a credit portfolio through varying economic conditions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as the role involves significant interaction with staff, clients, and external professionals. A background in relationship management and business development is essential, along with experience in handling lending and security documentation.

High proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is required, with training provided for additional internal systems.
