Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing expert pharmaceutical advice and support to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, where you will be responsible for leading and delivering a specialist clinical pharmacy service. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our pharmacy services.

• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice and support to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead and deliver a specialist clinical pharmacy service, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and implement medicines management strategies to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide training and education to pharmacy staff, ensuring they meet statutory, professional, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in weekend, bank holiday, and out-of-hours emergency duty services.

• Master's Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent).
• Pre-registration competency-based training.
• Postgraduate clinical specialist knowledge acquired through diploma-level training (e.g., Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy/MSC or equivalent experience).
• Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC) or eligible for membership.
• Accredited tutor for Clinical Pharmacy Diploma.
• Independent prescriber.
• Working towards RPS Faculty membership.
