Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. As a leading provider of engineering and construction services to the UK transmission and distribution sector, we are at the forefront of net zero 2050 with a secured workstream for years to come.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role, working between home, site, and our Glasgow office. The successful candidate will be experienced in cost & change control, contract & subcontract administration, and project reporting. You will provide commercial support concerning financial and contractual matters arising through the management of our client project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post award contract administration
  • Provision of commercial/contract deliverables
  • Implementation of project plans
  • Undertaking costs analysis
  • Preparation of cashflow forecasts
  • Developing subcontracting commercial strategy as required
  • Contributing to internal project reviews and developing project forecasts

Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies along with appropriate professional qualification
  • Substantial demonstrated experience within a QS or Senior QS role preferably gained from a transmission and distribution overhead lines background
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures
  • Proven experience in contract administration including change management
