Greenkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Greenkeeper to join our team at Arena Racing Company. As a Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of our golf course and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain all areas of the golf course and surrounds in accordance with good sports turf management guidelines.
  • Manage all fine turf areas to ensure they are in the best possible condition and meet the highest standards of presentation.
  • Forward plan daily, weekly, seasonal, and annual tasks, recording relevant data to analyze trends and developments in the course and its conditions.
  • Carry out course construction, bunker, tees, greens, and other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Presentation of lawns, car park, and other clubhouse areas to the highest possible standard.
  • Flower bed and hanging basket maintenance as required.
  • Ensure all roadways are clear of rubbish and dirt.
  • Ensure all golf course machinery and equipment is used according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in the golf sector.
  • NVQ qualification to L3 in Turf Maintenance/Sports Turf Management, or equivalent/higher an advantage.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Spray PA1, PA2A & PA6 an advantage.
  • Chainsaw qualifications an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills – able to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills.
