Planet Recruitment is currently in search of a motivated and enthusiastic Technology Operations Manager who is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.

As the Technology Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight, installation, maintenance, availability, and security of the educational and administrative ICT network, which encompasses both hardware and software components.

Your collaboration with the Senior Management team will be crucial in developing the organization's IT infrastructure and implementing project plans.

This role is essential in ensuring that the ICT network is optimized for effective teaching and learning while maintaining its security and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the organization's network infrastructure and ICT applications.
  • Monitor and maintain all critical systems, including switches, virtual and physical server environments, Microsoft 365, and backup solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to staff to facilitate effective system utilization.
  • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring all requests are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Supervise and take responsibility for the performance of the ICT support team.
  • Deliver 2nd and 3rd line support as needed.
  • Enforce and monitor compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for technology, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within an educational environment. Experience in upgrading IT network systems is highly desirable.

We seek individuals who can work independently as well as collaboratively, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for service enhancement.

This position is offered on a full-time basis, and the successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check.

In return, we offer a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £38,000, negotiable for the right candidate, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
