HW Interim Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a 6-month interim basis.
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of quarterly and annual Group statutory financial statements, executing ad hoc transaction accounting, and preparing local GAAP/IFRS statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and lead in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of all required regulatory filings and disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, including monitoring changes in financial reporting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Effectively communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to the financial reporting process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the wider team with technical expertise relating to transaction and project-based accounting.
- Become a source of technical expertise for the Group on financial reporting.
Requirements:
- ACA qualified with proven experience working within a Financial Services organization.
- Exposure to IFRS9 accounting.
This is a day-rate position, and the ideal candidate will be available to start immediately or within a short period. The role will be based in Yorkshire on a hybrid basis (3 days per week onsite).
