Position Overview:

CDW UK is seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our client's information systems and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Work Location: Hybrid model with in-office presence required 2 to 3 times weekly.

Compensation: Competitive day rate, subject to negotiation and compliance with IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patch Management: Identify and oversee the implementation of patches for vulnerable software within the network, adhering to established timelines.
  • Device Configuration: Ensure that both existing and new hardware and software configurations align with security standards.
  • Network Setup: Maintain proper configurations across the network, including systems like Microsoft Active Directory and user authentication protocols.
  • Network Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor the network to ensure adherence to security policies, identifying issues such as weak passwords or unauthorized software.
  • Log Management: Generate and maintain logs of security incidents, reviewing them as necessary and responding appropriately.
  • Incident Response: Act promptly to mitigate damage from security breaches and eliminate threats.
  • System Configuration: Configure and oversee security solutions to ensure optimal performance in line with established policies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other necessary actions related to security as required.
