Position Overview

The Compliance division at Experian offers a distinctive opportunity to collaborate with specialists in the evolving landscape of data, while being tasked with developing practical compliance strategies that address both consumer and client requirements.

This position, reporting to the Compliance Manager, is designed as a remote role with alignment to our London or Nottingham offices, allowing for increased office attendance if desired.

Importance of This Role

As a vital member of the Compliance Advisory Team operating within a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) framework, you will be instrumental in delivering actionable and forward-thinking compliance guidance to the Experian Consumer Services sector, aiding the First Line of Defence (1LoD) in managing regulatory risks in accordance with our risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compliance guidance on various initiatives, including projects, acquisitions, product innovations, and proposals, ensuring timely and thorough regulatory insights support agile product development.
  • Collaborate with Advisory Team colleagues and First Line operational Risk Managers to pinpoint high-risk regulatory and conduct areas, enhancing the control environment and ensuring that identified regulatory risks are communicated and escalated to operational Risk Management Committees and relevant governance bodies.
  • Assist First Line teams in evaluating the implications of regulatory updates and in establishing necessary controls through a proactive engagement model.
  • Employ regulatory risk assessment tools to evaluate the potential impact and likelihood of risks associated with new product initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders in the First Line of Defence to execute regulatory risk management strategies by offering subject matter expertise and advice on compliance issues.
  • Ability to critically assess regulatory risks identified by First Line teams while ensuring that senior management possesses an accurate understanding of the regulatory risk landscape.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, including CONC, Payment Services, Open Banking, and GDPR.
