About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within Dover Corporation's Engineering organization, responsible for leading a global team of design and drafting engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of engineering strategies, processes, and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead a global team of design and drafting engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Engineering Strategy and Standards
    • Develop and implement engineering strategies, processes, and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and expectations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Project Management
    • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or other Engineering discipline.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in an engineered product environment, including 7 years of experience managing a global team.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading global teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Ability to develop and implement engineering strategies, processes, and standards.
    • Experience with project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Working Conditions

This role requires occasional travel to customers, end users, conferences, and other Dover Corporation sites in the United States, Europe, India, and China.
