Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our team as a Clinical Advisor in Adult Audiology Services. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sensitive advice to patients regarding their auditory status, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Present summary data to the department at clinical audit meetings, contributing to the development of clinical direction and service improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the adult team to deliver clinical direction, ensuring alignment with service leads and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor referral-to-treatment positions and ensure service leads are informed of any potential breaches.
  • Contribute to the optimization of device utilization and patient benefit outcomes, as well as awareness of DNA rates for the adult service.
  • Participate in research and development programs in Audiology, driving innovation and excellence in patient care.
  • Maintain own audit activity, ensuring continued registration with regulatory bodies and adherence to professional standards.
  • Empower patients to make informed decisions about their rehabilitation options, guiding them towards successful choices through knowledge and expertise.
  • Implement policies and propose changes to working practices or procedures, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
