Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Futures is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new and existing products and components from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions, prototypes, and proof-of-concept models based on project requirements.
  • Create detailed drawings for designs including General Assemblies.
  • Manage BOM (Bill of Material) data for all designed, produced, and assembled items.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to determine the viability and scalability of proposed solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, experiments, and validation protocols to assess the performance and reliability of developed prototypes.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Energy, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with sheet metal would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on approach to design.
  • Good knowledge of high-end 3D and 2D CAD systems, ideally SolidWorks and AutoCAD or similar.
