Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Michael Page is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to use your innovative and creative skills to design and develop new products for a globally recognized industrial/manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components
  • Develop designs and/or re-engineer existing designs for new applications
  • Design test equipment and procedures for gearboxes
  • Interpret and comprehend customer specifications, design standards, and geometric tolerancing
  • Create deliverable documentation, including proposals, manuals, installation, and maintenance instructions
  • Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software at an expert level, with a preference for Solid Edge
  • Generate component and assembly drawings, BOMs, and gear data
  • Process engineering change control and participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and CI activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Understanding of product design and analysis methods
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials
  • Awareness of relevant industry standards (ISO, AGMA, DIN, FKM, DNV)
  • Familiarity with Machinery Safety regulations and requirements
  • Proficiency in SAP, specifically in the context of engineering design data specification
