Senior Internal Audit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our team at The Very Group. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management and control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the formulation and delivery of the Group Internal Audit strategy.
- Provide input into the audit plan and methodology.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
- Manage the delivery of the Audit Plan to agreed timescales and standards.
- Track and report on the implementation of actions agreed in audits.
- Support the Group Head of Internal Audit in the management of co-source partners supporting the audit plan.
- Deputise for the Group Head of Internal Audit at key committees as required.
- Recruit and develop Internal Auditors as appropriate.
We are looking for a qualified auditor or accountant with recent experience operating in a complex, commercial organisation. You will have strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Requirements:
- Qualified auditor or accountant (IIA/ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with recent experience in a complex, commercial organisation.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- High level of integrity, with the ability to challenge upwards and cross-functionally.
- Resilient, highly flexible, and self-motivated, with a commercial outlook and ability to see the impact from a variety of standpoints.
- Technically excellent, with the intellectual capacity to deal with complexity and communicate complex matters in simple terms.
- Demonstrable organisational skills and experience of managing a team of Auditors.
