About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team at Densell Recruitment. As a Building Surveyor - Subsidence Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing the extent and seriousness of subsidence-related damage to properties, establishing probable causes, and recommending remedial works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the extent of subsidence-related damage
  • Develop and implement plans for remedial works, including instructing specialist contractors
  • Liaise with homeowners, insurance companies, and senior management to validate claims and develop project plans
  • Provide expert advice on building pathology and structural issues
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in the building and construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of building pathology and structural issues
  • Experience dealing with subsidence issues, preferably working for a loss adjuster, insurance company, or specialist contractor
  • Working knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory matters, including Asbestos Handling, CDM, DPA, H&S on site, and Party Wall Act
  • Desirable: building-related qualification, such as an HNC/HND or Building Surveying/Engineering Degree, and/or Cert CII
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, negotiable around £45-55k depending on experience, plus a car or car allowance (£5k) and a good benefits package.
