About the Role

Sedgwick is seeking a talented Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team in the Southeast of England. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in reinstating commercial and domestic properties following damage by an insured peril.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead numerous projects to reinstate properties, ranging in value from £50k to £5m.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Loss Adjusting teams to build relationships and bring non-insurance clients on board.
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure robust control of time, cost, and quality.
  • Prepare schedules of works, contract administration, and project management.
  • Provide technical reporting, defects diagnosis, and professional reporting within tight timescales.
Requirements
  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor qualification.
  • Building-related degree.
  • Interest in sustainability and passion to assist Sedgwick's plans to reach net carbon zero.
  • Full UK driving license essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction and relevant legislation.
  • Able to plan projects, manage workload, and make reasoned decisions under pressure.
