Job Title: Contract Maintenance Engineer

Gap Technical Ltd is seeking a skilled Contract Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to the nominated production area.
  • Fault find in an effective and efficient manner while utilizing the various machines' historic/information documentation.
  • Establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and work flexibly with them.
  • Train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and assist in major repairs.
  • Ensure that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
  • Pro-actively reduce engineering downtime and continuously improve the process and the department.
Requirements:
  • A time-served engineering apprenticeship is ideal.
  • A background in Food/FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing is a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and organize efficiently.
  • Cross-skill training (Electrical to Mechanical Conversion) and 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (minimum) are required.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs with certified training is essential.
