Overview

Baxter Thetford is seeking a proactive and skilled Essential Systems Maintenance Engineer to become a vital part of our Engineering team. Your role will involve sustaining and enhancing all manufacturing and support processes, working closely with the facilities department to ensure the dependable operation of critical systems that meet user needs.

Key Responsibilities

Willingness to perform support operations such as water management and monitoring functions to ensure continuous operations Adhere to EHS/GMP/GDP/company policies and external regulatory standards Execute operator-based tasks alongside scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations Provide project support and collaborate effectively Maintain a focus on achieving a safe work environment, delivering quality products and services, and enhancing financial performance Review and develop maintenance tasks to ensure plant reliability, minimize downtime, and improve departmental performance through effective reporting and data collection Identify key failure modes and assist in processes to mitigate impacts, including spare part identification and stock control assistance

Required Qualifications

Experience with mechanical/electrical systems, including fault finding, PLC controls, low-voltage controls, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems Familiarity with operator monitoring on utilities and auxiliary support equipment, including LOTO procedures, IPAF, harness, confined space, and MEWP Knowledge of purification processes such as reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and VC distillation Experience in steam system operation and maintenance, including steam production, condensate recovery, and boiler house compliance Proficiency in compressed air systems and process control Ability to work under deadlines and follow instructions effectively Competence in reading P&ID and wiring schematics Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills Proficient in the effective use of Microsoft Office applications
