We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Logistics People. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our warehouse and distribution depots, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular and randomised searches on staff and visitors
  • Conduct internal and external patrols of the site
  • Ensure accurate logging of goods vehicles entering or leaving the site
  • Maintain liaison with site contacts, colleagues, and the National Security Manager
  • Monitor and operate equipment, including phones, intercoms, radios, and email
  • Assist in site evacuations and maintain strict Data Protection standards
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the security industry (1 year)
  • SIA Licence (SG/DS) required
  • UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle required
  • First aid certification preferred
  • Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts, including some at short notice
  • Physical fitness to patrol effectively by foot
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High standards of personal presentation and punctuality
  • Computer/PC literacy
