Job Summary:

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of all general ledger bookings for the CTD EMEA entity in Horsham. This role will work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant, Senior Manager Finance & Accounting, the CTD EMEA AP Team, the divisional Accounting and Controlling teams, the corporate Accounting & Controlling teams, and the EMEA FP&A team. The position holder will report to the Senior Finance Manager Finance & Controlling, CTD EMEA. Success in this role will be demonstrated through timely and accurate financial information, and improved finance and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and process all the bookings for all Accruals, Prepayments, IC transactions and Inventory.
  2. At month end, work and collaborate with intercompany partners ensuring that balances between entities are agreed in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain the Fixed asset register and post monthly entries relating to Fixed Assets.
  4. Preparing the monthly figures for loading into HFM, resolving queries, and loading HFM supplemental data.
  5. Prepare and submit the VAT statements to local authorities.
  6. Reconcile all the general ledger Balance sheet accounts.
  7. Setting up of new vendors in CODA and SAP and creating Finance Purchase Orders.
  8. Preparing and submitting National Statistics Surveys.
  9. Collaborating closely with internal and external customers, interaction, and assistance with other members of the finance team.
  10. Review and improve all general accounting activities to ensure all accounting activities are well supported, detailed and audit ready at all times.
  11. Under guidance from the Senior Finance Manager Finance & Accounting CTD EMEA, review and improve accounting activities & controls that are in adherence with SOX, US GAAP and statutory laws.
  12. Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Requirements:
  1. Candidate will show strength in the following areas: general ledger knowledge, monthly, quarterly and annual closing and financial reporting.
  2. The ability to identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement.
  3. Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required.
  4. Proven history of building interpersonal relationships with peers and operating partners to enforce compliance of finance and accounting processes.
  5. Good skills with MS Excel are required; further IT skills such as CODA and HFM are helpful.
  6. Experience in General Ledger and other Operational Finance roles.
