About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Street Works Coordinator to join our team at SSE PLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of street works projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with local authorities, internal colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that street works are delivered safely and with minimal disruption to communities.
  • Ensure that all information relating to street works is accurate and up-to-date to guarantee that all works are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
  • Issue information to contract partners as needed to deliver reinstatement works.
  • Provide useful updates and analysis to managers in the region to support them in continuous improvement of our processes and performance management of their teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to help them deliver safe and compliant street works while minimizing the cost of delivering works.
  • Ensure that all street works costs are reviewed and correctly allocated to projects or recharged to third parties where applicable.

Requirements

  • A knowledge of street works and knowledge of NRSWA permitting legislation.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and to build good relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities.
  • Well-organized, able to accurately manage and update information on multiple active sites.
  • The ability to make timely decisions in response to real-time street works issues.
  • Good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office software, including SharePoint and Excel.
