About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Engineering. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of our special purpose machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and company standards
  • Manage and mentor junior design engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and project reports
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the design team to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar design engineering role
  • Proven experience in leading design teams and managing projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design methodologies
