**About the Company:** Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Coventry. Our client designs and manufactures Special Purpose Machinery for various sectors.

**Job Summary:** We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our design team in creating innovative and efficient mechanical designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement mechanical designs for Special Purpose Machinery
  • Lead a team of Mechanical Design Engineers in designing and developing new products
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager to translate conceptual designs into working designs within budget parameters
  • Manage projects to ensure milestones are met and deliver high-quality results
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior design engineers
  • Identify and mitigate high-risk technical elements of projects
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar design engineering role
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
