Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and review our HSE management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and 14001 requirements, as well as relevant legislation.
  • Manage and implement site documentation, including the construction phase plan, environmental management plan, traffic management plan, emergency response plan, and waste management.
  • Conduct site safety inspections and audits, providing guidance and recommendations to site and contracts managers.
  • Chair safety meetings with employees and participate in client site-specific meetings and consultative forums.
  • Review subcontractor pre-qualification questionnaires and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with our safety standards.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments and safety-critical operating procedures.
  • Plan, conduct, and implement training for operatives, staff, and management on HSE aspects.
  • Liaise with clients on HSE-related matters and assist with monthly KPI reporting.
  • Promote a positive behavioral-based safety culture and just culture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a safety, health, and environmental role.
  • Nebosh Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent.
  • IEMA Environmental Management certificate.
  • Nebosh General Certificate and/or Nebosh Construction Certificate.
  • Experience with monitoring and review of working at height activities.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Computer and technical literacy.
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
