We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team at ACS Construction Group Ltd. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, clients, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and review our HSE management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and 14001 requirements, as well as relevant legislation.
- Manage and implement site documentation, including the construction phase plan, environmental management plan, traffic management plan, emergency response plan, and waste management.
- Conduct site safety inspections and audits, providing guidance and recommendations to site and contracts managers.
- Chair safety meetings with employees and participate in client site-specific meetings and consultative forums.
- Review subcontractor pre-qualification questionnaires and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with our safety standards.
- Develop and implement risk assessments and safety-critical operating procedures.
- Plan, conduct, and implement training for operatives, staff, and management on HSE aspects.
- Liaise with clients on HSE-related matters and assist with monthly KPI reporting.
- Promote a positive behavioral-based safety culture and just culture.
- 5+ years' experience in a safety, health, and environmental role.
- Nebosh Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent.
- IEMA Environmental Management certificate.
- Nebosh General Certificate and/or Nebosh Construction Certificate.
- Experience with monitoring and review of working at height activities.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Computer and technical literacy.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
- Competitive salary of £40-45,000 (negotiable depending on experience).
