Job Summary

Imerys Aluminates - A Global Leader in Mineral-Based Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Imerys Aluminates site in West Thurrock. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities, including fixed plant and associated systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Execute routine and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Switching of power (LV or HV) and working on high voltage motors and systems.
  • Respond to after-hours call-outs and work overtime when required.
  • Participate in engineering projects and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
  • Operate a Forklift and Cherry Picker safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Operate the SAP system to manage maintenance activities and track performance.

Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
  • Electrical Installation Work Certificate (City and Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience of working in a heavy production / manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process systems.
  • Willingness to respond to after-hours breakdowns and work overtime when required.
  • Legally able to drive in the UK.
