Head of Compliance Job Description

Our client, a leading brand in the industry, is seeking an exceptional Head of Compliance to lead and play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory adherence and maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Compliance Strategies: Develop and oversee the implementation of compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company meets its regulatory obligations.
  • Lead and Manage the Compliance Team: Lead and manage the compliance team to ensure effective compliance risk management and regulatory relationships.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Compliance Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert advice on regulatory matters to senior management to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with Regulatory Bodies: Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective regulatory engagement.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Compliance Experience: Extensive experience in a senior compliance role within an FCA environment, preferably in Consumer Lending.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills to lead and manage the compliance team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record in implementing effective compliance programmes.
