Position Overview
This is a full-time Specialty Doctor role in Oncology, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will possess full GMC registration and an MRCP qualification or its equivalent, along with desirable experience in cancer management and a solid understanding of oncological emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
The appointee will be expected to:
- Conduct an average of 6 clinic sessions weekly.
- Oversee the oncology emergency assessment area, oncology wards, and chemotherapy suite.
- Review patients undergoing radiotherapy.
- Participate in the on-call rota in collaboration with current Specialist Registrars (on-call supplement applicable).
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and dedicate time for supporting professional activities.
Educational opportunities will be available, similar to those provided in recognized training programs, encouraging professional development in Oncology.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- MRCP.
- ALS.
- Full GMC Registration.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in General Medicine.
- Experience in clinical audit and teaching junior medical staff.
Desirable:
- Oncological training in Medical and Clinical Oncology.
- MSC Course or PGCERT in Medical Education.
