Advanced Child Protection Specialist

Join the State of Victoria's Department of Families, Fairness and Housing as an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner, working in a community-based setting. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
About the RoleThe Advanced Child Protection Practitioner will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing advice, support, and consultation to practitioners within The Orange Door, as well as to Family Services, Specialist Family Violence Services, and Men's Services. The role will involve receiving and assessing reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people, undertaking investigations, and developing plans to ensure the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Risk assessment and analysis
- Case planning review and case management
The successful candidate will possess an understanding of Aboriginal culture and demonstrate an understanding of the legislative, policy, and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including in country regions, are essential requirements of this role.
