Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Practitioner with an Extended Role in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments and care to children, young people, and their families in a range of settings.

About the Role:

You will be part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, working closely with nurses, clinical psychologists, OTs, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists. Your role will involve providing safe, high-quality, cost-effective, and evidence-based care for Child and Adolescent mental health patients in secondary care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake assessments and reviews of new and follow-up patients in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.
  2. Provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations to children, young people, and their families in a range of settings.
