We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Harrison Scott Associates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the Laser Department and ensuring the efficient and quality production of work to meet customer specifications and schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning and Control: Plan and control the production of work by fully utilising equipment and producing work by the most economic method, ensuring maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintenance and Quality: Ensure a machine maintenance programme is in place to maximise machine uptime and maintain a machine log for all breakdowns, reporting weekly.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with internal and external customers, acting as the centre of excellence for printing, mailing, finishing, consolidation, scanning, and dispatch, and produce daily production meetings outlining risks and solutions for mitigation.
- Waste Control and Overtime Management: Control all waste and minimise overtime to ensure maximum departmental profitability versus set budgets.
- Team Development and Motivation: Coach, train, and counsel team members to achieve high standards, assist individual career development, and motivate the team to ensure high standards of customer relations and quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Use OEE, 5S, and Lean Methodologies to drive performance and continual improvements throughout operations, and have a good understanding of all equipment to ensure it is being operated in an efficient and effective manner.
- Reporting and Communication: Ensure all relevant paperwork, including weekly reports, is accurately completed in a timely manner, and communicate and act on special requests from other customers.
- Incident Management: React proactively to any occurring incidents, liaise with Client Services and Compliance, and ensure internal SLAs are met or exceeded.
- Team Collaboration: Ensure constant communication between print/finishing and other teams.
Education and Qualifications: Good education to GCSE level.
Experience: Supervisory experience; 3+ years working within a manufacturing environment.
