Research Assistant Opportunity in Healthy Ageing

The University of Manchester is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the Healthy Ageing Research Theme within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (NIHR ARC GM). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a programme of work focused on improving the health of the GM population and the quality and sustainability of the health and social care they receive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct literature searches and apply for research governance approvals
  • Undertake mixed-methods research, including qualitative and/or quantitative data collection and analysis
  • Contribute to writing up and disseminating study findings
Requirements:
  • Degree in a related field of study
  • Experience of conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise different workloads
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams
