Position Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for dedicated Nurses to become part of our well-established School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS), focusing on the delivery of vaccination programs in educational and community settings.
The ideal candidates will exhibit a strong commitment to providing exceptional care, alongside a thorough understanding of the childhood immunisation schedule, particularly regarding flu vaccinations. This role necessitates effective time management, leadership capabilities, and proficiency in IT, with the expectation to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Your role will involve advocating for vaccinations and, when appropriate, promoting the health of children aged 0-19, thereby supporting their developmental and educational achievements.
We seek applicants who are available to work during core hours of 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for occasional evening and weekend shifts. However, we are open to considering candidates who can provide availability from 9am to 3pm, depending on service requirements.
Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a registered nurse within the School Age Immunisation Team, possessing professional and clinical expertise in your field.
- Manage a defined group of service users across various settings, including community and healthcare facilities.
- Exhibit skills in assessing care and support needs, as well as in developing, implementing, and evaluating care packages related to vaccination.
- Assume supervisory responsibilities as needed, including work allocation, and may contribute to service development initiatives.
- Deliver assigned components of vaccination programs, ensuring that key objectives and outcomes are met.
- Utilize and receive training on electronic IT platforms, including electronic patient records.
- Be prepared to work across multiple health clinics, educational institutions, and home settings as required by service demands.
