Job Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Operative to join our team at Tarmac, the UK's leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business. As an Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site, working closely with our Site Manager to achieve daily production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and storing raw materials, ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient production processes.
- Operating plant and equipment, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and adhering to CRH and SHE safety protocols.
- Meeting daily production targets, reporting data for quality purposes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing excellent customer service, ensuring accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround, and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Operative who can demonstrate a proven track record of working in a similar production and despatch environment. You will possess excellent communication skills, be numerate, and have a good understanding of manual handling procedures. A FLT licence is desirable but not essential.
