About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Rapid Assessment Worker to join our team in Croydon. As a Rapid Assessment Worker, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk and needs assessments, completing SNAP forms, and supporting service users to identify positive move on options and live more independent lives.
Key Responsibilities- Hold a caseload of key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed Support Plans
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments and HB applications
- Work with service users to identify their strengths and goals through an asset-based approach to support
- Support service users to identify positive move on options and live more independent lives
- Establish supportive and professional relationships with customers and deal effectively with unpredictable and challenging situations in a professional and sensitive manner
- Carry out regular Health and Safety inspections
- Support service users to pay their rent, including providing advice on benefits and debt management
- Ensure all voids are advertised and lettings made promptly
- Support and advise customers on any matters relating to their occupancy agreements
- Respond proactively to maintenance issues
- Remove items, clean and make rooms ready for new occupants, where required
- Keep timely and accurate records including customer files, monitoring information etc
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Rapid Assessment Worker who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience of working in a similar role and knowledge of the relevant legislation and policies is essential. You will also need to have a good understanding of the needs of service users and be able to provide support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
