Position Overview

As a key member of the GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation team, you will take on the role of the principal architect for the Aerospace Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) framework. This position is situated within the Digital Technology division, specifically in the Systems Engineering team, where you will be responsible for the implementation, advanced support, and enhancement of innovative engineering solutions across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesCore Duties
  • Engage with engineering teams to align with customer requirements and expectations.
  • Facilitate architectural discussions with the Systems Engineering team.
  • Regularly evaluate support and enhancement requests.
  • Oversee the architecture of the Aerospace Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) tools ecosystem.
  • Address challenges with external tool providers.
  • Deliver Level 4 support for engineering applications.
  • Keep abreast of upcoming tool developments and foster team coherence.
  • Investigate and evaluate new technologies to enhance team capabilities.
  • Build and maintain robust partnerships with third-party vendors.
  • Implement ELM templates into the production environment.
Educational Background

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields, complemented by substantial hands-on experience.

A strong foundation in digital engineering tools platforms is essential.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in engineering tools such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).
  • Experience with requirements and design tools, including IBM DOORS Classic and IBM DOORS Next Generation.
  • Familiarity with change and configuration management tools like IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM).
  • Knowledge of test management tools, including IBM Engineering Test Management (ETM).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a global virtual environment.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
