Job Title: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Winchester. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing exceptional care and education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students
  • Assist with planning and preparation of lessons, including creating resources and materials
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with additional needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and educational policies
  • Experience working with students with additional needs
