At Greencore Group Ltd, we pride ourselves on being a leading manufacturer in the food industry, specializing in private label cooking sauces and pickles. Our Selby site has been a cornerstone of quality since 1914, producing over 160 million units annually across a diverse range of products.
Compensation Details
Overtime is applicable after 36 hours a week at a rate of x1.25
Night shift - £16.52 per hour (increases to £17 upon achieving required skill level)
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing ingredients and raw materials in commercial kettles to produce high-quality sauces.
- Adhering to recipes and specifications to ensure consistency across batches.
- Meeting output targets efficiently while performing assigned tasks.
- Contributing to enhanced line performance and operational efficiencies.
- Upholding exceptional standards of Housekeeping, Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene.
- Addressing and resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Handling food ingredients with care and precision.
- Following manual lifting protocols for weights ranging from 5kg to 20kg.
- Participating in the training and mentoring of new team members.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes.
- Communicating effectively with area leaders to ensure smooth operations.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with machinery, is essential.
- Adherence to all relevant business and site policies, including Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork, especially under pressure.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while producing quality and safe products.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work in a production setting with varying temperatures.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
