Nursing Home Manager Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Home Manager to lead our care team and drive the success of our nursing home. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated care professionals to deliver exceptional care and services to our residents.
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and improvement in the home.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including CIW and Welsh Government standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including CIW, Local Authorities, and Local Health Boards.
  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure the efficient operation of the home.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Ensure the home is equipped with the necessary resources and technology to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a similar-sized nursing home or a large care team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards related to care homes.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in business planning, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Experience in staff management, recruitment, and training.
  • RGN / RMN Qualified.
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or NVQ level 4 in Management in Care.
