Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team at Taylor Reeves Recruitment. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle, flatbed, to transport goods, large bagged, dry aggregate materials for the building trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle, flatbed, to transport goods, large bagged, dry aggregate materials for the building trade.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Secure the load.
  • Daily vehicle checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate with transport and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, with minimum 1 year's experience.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver.
  • Commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a flatbed truck is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
  • PPE Safety footwear and Hi vis and hard hat desirable.
  • Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
What We Offer
  • £17 PAYE + Holiday £19 per hour-£21.00 per hour Umbrella payroll.
  • Expected hours: 10 – 55 per week.
