Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team at Hays Technology. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage infrastructure projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, and make informed decisions to optimize project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement project roadmaps, including sub-projects and multiple workstreams.
  • Provide guidance and support to project team members, and act as an escalation point for issues.
  • Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders, and ensure effective stakeholder management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Project Director on infrastructure and applications migration projects.
  • Eligible for BPSS clearance.
  • Strong working knowledge of applications migration and end-user computing.
  • Expertise in matrix and people management.
  • Previous experience of project roadmap development, including sub-projects and multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to manage risk and emergency situations.
  • Comfortable collaborating with relevant teams to plan costs.
  • The ability to liaise with PMOs.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements of the product/solution are met.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Immediate availability.
  • Previous experience within Utilities/Energy/Manufacturing/Technology.
