About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Parent Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Parenting Wellbeing Service in Surrey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a six-week intervention to parents/carers whose young people are experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
  • Hold a caseload of up to 15 families, providing support flexibly and tailored to their needs.
  • Facilitate a strengths-based approach to support parents/carers.
  • Signpost to partner agencies based on identified needs.
  • Support families to access other local services.
  • Record all case work.
  • Attend wellbeing events, such as fayres, coffee mornings, and multi-agency meetings.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with families with complex needs and the ability to build and maintain rapport.
  • Ability to be clear and realistic about support offered to families.
  • Ability to maintain a visible presence and sustain relationships with services across Surrey.
  • Competent IT skills to record and maintain accurate data.
  • Understanding of factors contributing to poor mental health/emotional wellbeing in young people.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
