Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team, responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and company policies. The successful candidate will work closely with our compliance team to develop and implement effective health and safety management systems, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace, and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate them.
  3. Provide Training and Support: Deliver training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures, policies, and best practices.
  4. Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Monitor and Report: Regularly monitor health and safety performance, and report to senior management on key metrics and trends.
  6. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with employees, managers, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration on health and safety matters.
Requirements:
  1. Proven Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a logistics or transportation industry.
  2. Qualifications: NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, and internal auditing qualification (e.g., ISO45001).
  3. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of UK health and safety legislation, risk assessment, and data analysis.
  4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
