We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Academics. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and supervision to students to help them manage their behavior and develop coping strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Recognize and respond to behavior triggers, de-escalating challenging situations and promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Support students in developing social skills, building confidence, and motivating them to participate in learning activities.
- Participate in team meetings and training programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to safeguarding and student well-being.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Criminology.
- Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviors, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of various learning and behavioral needs, with a keen interest in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
We offer a competitive daily rate of £85-£100, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
