Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Licensing Officer to join our team. As a Child Licensing Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the welfare of young people in employment or modeling, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective systems for recording, assessing, and checking on the welfare of young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Promote and process licenses for child employment and entertainment, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding the best interests of the young person.
- Deliver training and education to neighboring local authorities, schools, and employers on safeguarding and child welfare, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and roles.
- Respond to inquiries from schools, employers, agencies, and the public regarding child licensing and employment, providing expert guidance and support.
- Assist in collecting evidence for potential legal proceedings related to breaches of regulations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with national bodies, such as the child employment network, to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
