Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Licensing Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare and safety of young people in employment or modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement effective systems for recording, assessing, and checking on the welfare of young people, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation.
- To promote the licensing process for child employment and entertainment, safeguarding the best interests of young people in the workplace.
- To deliver chaperoning and safeguarding training to neighboring local authorities, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- To respond to inquiries from schools, employers, agencies, and the public regarding child licensing and employment.
- To assist in collecting evidence for potential legal proceedings related to breaches of regulations.
- To maintain links with national bodies, such as the child employment network, and other departments involved in this work.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS.
- Strong understanding of child welfare and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
