Senior Purchasing Advisor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Purchasing Advisor to join our team at Manpower UK Ltd. As a Senior Purchasing Advisor, you will be responsible for facilitating the order and delivery of new vehicles while building customer and supplier relationships within the fleet department.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating within the automotive sector and be able to demonstrate time management, excellent customer service, and a dynamic, inquisitive, and curious personality. Additionally, you will have advanced data management and process review experience, as well as the ability to support the existing team leader/manager in delegating tasks to ensure SLA's are met within the wider team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Requirements Identification: Communicate with customers and vehicle suppliers to identify vehicle requirements.
  2. Liaison and Quotations: Liaise with nominated dealers/obtaining quotations and issuing vehicle purchase orders.
  3. Order Progression: Progress vehicle orders weekly, keeping systems and customers updated.
  4. Delivery Arrangements: Liaison between dealer and customer to arrange new vehicle delivery.
  5. Supplier Invoicing: Payment of supplier vehicle invoices.
  6. Reporting: Ensuring reporting is conducted and kept up to date.
  7. Administrative Duties: Responsible for a wide range of administrative duties and inter departmental activities.
  8. Business and Third-Party Reports: Producing weekly/monthly business and third-party reports and manipulating data into presentable formats.
  9. Workload Prioritization: Support the team manager with prioritization of workload/tasks to ensure agreed SLA's are met, both personally and for the team.
Requirements:
  1. Automotive Knowledge: Existing knowledge of automotive products and other manufacturers.
  2. Fleet Leasing Solutions: Understanding of fleet leasing solutions.
  3. Data Management: Data management experience including reviewing processes and reporting whilst proposing efficiencies and process enhancements when identified.
  4. MS Excel Skills: Advanced MS Excel/Data Manipulation skillset, including functions such as vlookup, pivot tables, summary tables, and charts and interactive report pack decks.
  5. Team Player: A team player with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines.
  6. Customer Focus: Confident and customer-focused in communicating both by telephone and face to face.
This is a temporary contract until at least the end of December 2024 with the possibility of ongoing extension. You would be working on site 35 hours per week, 9:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday with a pay rate of £14.53 per hour.
