Job Title: Senior Practitioner Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to lead our Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) support team in North Essex. As a key member of our Children and Families team, you will provide expert guidance and support to NQSWs, helping them to develop their skills and confidence in their roles.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of social workers and contribute to the development of our NQSWs. As a Senior Practitioner Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert guidance and support to NQSWs, including mentoring and coaching
  • Developing and delivering training and development programs for NQSWs
  • Leading group supervision sessions and providing individual support to NQSWs
  • Assessing and developing NQSWs' skills and knowledge
  • Working closely with the NQSW support team to ensure effective support and guidance is provided to all NQSWs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England
  • Significant experience of social work, including mentoring and coaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to travel throughout the county and beyond, as required
