Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Programme Tutor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical education team, you will be responsible for the line management of the tutor and administrative team, as well as having a very active role in teaching, supervision, tutoring, and evaluation of clinical and academic competence in CBT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Programme Director in the organisation of the whole programme through liaison with multiple stakeholders from NHS Education Scotland, NHS GG&C, NHS Lothian, programme trainees, programme supervisors, BABCP, and Queen Margaret University.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality CBT training programmes, ensuring that they meet the needs of our trainees and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert supervision and guidance to trainees, ensuring that they receive the support they need to develop their clinical and academic skills.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of our CBT training programmes, ensuring that they are effective and meet the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the clinical education team to develop and deliver high-quality training programmes.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in CBT (BABCP accredited practitioner) and experience in the delivery of Post Graduate training in CBT, evaluation, and supervision.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of line managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of NHS Scotland's policies and procedures, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
