We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Manager to join our team at Colas Ltd. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for the timely completion of cost packs associated with Incident repairs, working closely with operational teams and incident response managers to provide reports associated with damaged network property in support of national highways with cost recovery.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the DNP process, including Red and Green Claims, and line manage the DNP Coordinators.
- Keep records, complete all necessary paperwork, communicate and liaise with other employees of Colas, subcontractors, the emergency services, the police, the general public, clients, and customers in support of DNP processes.
- Prepare and evaluate compensation event claims, and/or other claims based upon contractual entitlement, and/or insurance claims, and provide accurate and timely reports to support routine commercial requirements of the contract.
- Monitor contracts and report against commercial targets, manage budgets, cost forecasting, management, and control processes, including the use of contract programmes, change and risk registers.
- Support the team and provide advice to project operational teams, ensuring compliance with Colas' governance, policies, and procedures.
- Practical experience developed from within this business and industry sector, or from an Insurance background.
- Proven ability to demonstrate strong financial understanding, including control and reporting of budgets and associated variations.
- Dynamic and forward-thinking individual with strong commercial acumen and effective communication skills.
- Previous experience of working within high-performing teams, with good attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to maintain high technical standards.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
- A highly competitive salary between £30,000-£35,000 (dependent on experience) PRO RATA.
