Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide guidance, support, and treatment to patients diagnosed with skin cancer in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals via written, telephone, and person-to-person contact
- Liaise with nursing staff and members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimum levels of care
- Proficient in using information systems for data entry and updating patient records
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Support training and educational needs
- Comply with health and safety, infection control, and other trust policies
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Skin Cancer Specialist Nurse, working closely with the Dermatology and Plastic Surgery team to ensure a seamless referral process.
Requirements:
- First level Nurse registered with the NMC
- Post-registration experience in Dermatology and Plastic Surgery
- Post-graduate qualification and/or evidence of study in a skin-related subject
- Relevant post-registration experience in the specialist field or similar
