Job Overview

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Postal Delivery Worker. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to customers across Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and collect post and parcels at the local delivery office
  • Use a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries and navigate your route
  • Walk at least 8 miles per day, carrying a bag that can weigh up to 16kg and delivering items that may weigh up to 20kg
  • Drive and deliver on foot, pushing or pulling a trolley as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points (a clean license is preferred)
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices

Working Conditions:

As a Postal Delivery Worker, you will be working outdoors in all weather conditions. You must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and work independently with minimal supervision.
